You all knowhow important breakfasts are; not only because it supplies you with energy for the whole day, but also, because it prevents you of morning grumpiness and it is fun!
Berlin is the city for having breakfast, I would say. During the week almost every cafe/restaurant offers at least a decent breakfast and on weekends you have plenty of buffet places, where you can have a huge brunch with scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, hummus, salads, meats and a lot more for 8-12€.
With my little breakfast guide I want to show you some places I have been to, which I consider worth mentioning and worth visiting. I organized them according to location, so you can check what's in your neighborhood.
Location: Weinbergsweg 25, 10119 Berlin
House of small wonder: Williamsburg-inspired brunch place, serving french toast, waffles, granola etc.; very nice and familiar atmosphere, jungle-wallpaper and very green interior in general, a bit pricey compared to other places in Berlin
Location: Johannisstraße 20, 10117 Berlin
Chipps: Also quite American-style concept with pancakes, french toast, waffles, eggs benny and sandwiches on the menu; subtle interior and the atmosphere seems a bit business-like
Location: Jägerstraße 35, 10117 Berlin
Zuckerfee: A small cute cafe, serving etageres with high quality ingredients, pancakes, waffles etc.; cosy atmosphere, dark wooden tables and interior
Location: Greifenhagener Straße 15, 10437 Berlin

Cafe Tous les Jours: Spacious cafe with a range of breakfast combos with big portions; relaxed atmosphere, but nothing special concerning interior
Location: Hufelandstraße 16, 10407 Berlin
Kaffee A.horn: Nice cafe located next to the Landwehrkanal serving a range of different breakfast dishes, including yoghurt with fruits and bagels (which I wasn't THE biggest fan of - they taste good, but for those of you who know bagels from the US this might be a bit disappointing), go for the banana bread, though, which is delicious; spacious and light interior
Location: Carl-Herz-Ufer 9, 10961 Berlin
Bastard: My favourite place, I'd say. Delicious breakfast platters with high-quality ingredients and freshly baked bread, yoghurt with fruit, scrambled eggs etc.; very relaxed atmosphere and an interesting interior with concrete walls and a lot of wood
Location: Reichenberger Str. 122, 10999 Berlin
More info: HERE
Fette Auster: Pop-up place/event taking place every Sunday in a yard behind the nightclub "Farbfernseher", serving oysters, pancakes, bagels, good coffee, Bloody Mary's (...); atmosphere is a bit alternative - you can sit inside the yard at wooden tables or some other constructs, or leave the yard and sit on grass or benches in a little park.
Location: Skalitzer Straße 114, 10999 Berlin
Markthalle Neun: Huge market hall that is organizing a breakfast market every third Sunday of the month offering all kinds of food that you could imagine, ranging from pulled pork buns over omelettes to sweet focaccia; very vibrant (hipsterish) atmosphere - it can get quite crowded, so make sure to be here early
Location: Eisenbahnstraße 42-43, 10997 Berlin
More info: HERE
Roamers: Another place I truly fell in love with, serving delicious cake, french toast, amazing granola, good coffee for small prices; small location, can get crowded, very cosy and rustic atmosphere
Location: Pannierstraße 64, 12043 Berlin
Cabslam (Californian Breakfast Slam): Californian and Mexican inspired dishes such as huevos rancheros, pancakes or breakfast burritos; easy-going atmosphere (sometimes too much easy-going), plain though stylish interior with wooden tables and checkered tablecloths
Price: 6-10€ during the week; 9-16€ on weekends;
Location: Innstraße 47, 12045 Berlin
Silo: Australian coffee and brunch place serving avocado sourdough toasts, poached eggs (...) and great coffee; reminds of a lot of London breakfast places with a wooden, simple interior
Location: Gabriel-Max-Straße 4, 10245 Berlin
Neue Heimat Village Market: A bit like Markthalle Neun, taking place every Sunday and serving also all kinds of breakfast dishes; crowded, relaxed and hipsterish atmosphere
Location: Revaler Strasse 99, 10245 Berlin
Friedrichshain on weekends is a paradise for all-you-can-eat lovers. Around Boxhagener Platz, "Boxi", and on Simon-Dach-Strasse there are plenty of places that serve a breakfast/brunch buffet until around 4pm.
